Margaret

Certified Dental Assistant, Office Manager, and Treatment Coordinator

I love meeting with families and getting them started on their orthodontic journey. A new patient’s excitement is contagious! Even better, though, is seeing the smiles when treatment is completed, knowing that the person is going to have a happier and healthier life because of the care we’ve provided. My day involves welcoming patients to our practice, presenting and explaining treatment plans, placing follow-up care calls and reception and managerial duties.

My time away from work is filled with giving back to the community, time with my church family, walking, yoga, and healthy cooking. I’m married, with three adult children and four grandchildren.

Wendy

Dental Receptionist

I bring over 14 years of dental experience to Clarington Orthodontics.  I love being a part of this dynamic team and welcoming patients to our office.  My duties include ensuring that the day-to-day operations at the front desk run smoothly.  As a mother of 3 grown children, outside office hours I enjoy reading, walking and dog sitting.

Barb

Dental Hygienist

Talking with and getting to know our great patients and their families, while I help create healthy and beautiful smiles, make my days a joy. I spend my hours interacting with patients on a one-to-one basis, while I prepare their teeth for bonding and bond their braces, fit and cement bands, change wires and tie arch wires, and remove braces. I just love removing braces and seeing those healthy, straight teeth, and, even better, witnessing the joy on the patient’s face when they see their new smile!

Aside from my career, I enjoy being with my husband, three children, and one very busy grandchild. In my spare time I keep busy with various active hobbies, including skiing, swimming, cycling, scuba diving, and yoga. I also enjoy reading.

Kim

Level II Certified Dental Assistant

It’s always fascinating to watch a person’s orthodontic treatment progress from start to finish. Seeing the physical changes happen, along with the changes in their self-confidence and how they interact with the world, never ceases to amaze me. I enjoy the connections that develop between our patients and the team, during treatment, too, and look forward to our interactions. My work duties include taking X-rays and lab work, records, and providing chairside assistance, as well.

My husband and I have two beautiful daughters. We look forward to visiting family on the east coast every summer.

She is very excited to be starting a new chapter in her career here at Clarington Orthodontics. Elaina lives locally with her family and enjoys all of the great amenities the community has to offer, everything from skiing and skating in the winter to days by the lake at her cottage in the summer.

Wendy

Level II Certified Dental Assistant

I have been a dental assisting for 16 years. After having spent 4 years at home to be with my three children I was excited to join this amazing team in 2018. I enjoy meeting and interacting with patients. I love seeing their new smiles at the end of treatment and how happy they are with the results!

When not at work I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children. My family and I are big Toronto Maple Leafs fans! When I am not watching the game I like to read and spend time with friends.

Brittney

Level II Certified Dental Assistant

I joined Clarington Orthodontics in 2020 and bring 7 years of dental assisting experience with me. I have also worked in general dentistry including general anesthesia, but my heart was always with orthodontics.  Patients are gnerally excited about treatment and seeing the end results and how happy they are is such a great feeling.  A smile the patient loves for themselves can give such a boost in confidence and it's really great to see.

Outside of the office I'm with my husband and our two young daughters. We enjoy going for bike rides, four wheeling, hanging out in our backyard, and travelling back to my hometown to visit with my mom and other family.
