We are pleased to welcome you and your family, and we look forward to working with you.

Margaret

Certified Dental Assistant, Office Manager, and Treatment Coordinator

I love meeting with families and getting them started on their orthodontic journey. A new patient’s excitement is contagious! Even better, though, is seeing the smiles when treatment is completed, knowing that the person is going to have a happier and healthier life because of the care we’ve provided. My day involves welcoming patients to our practice, presenting and explaining treatment plans, placing follow-up care calls and reception and managerial duties.

My time away from work is filled with giving back to the community, time with my church family, walking, yoga, and healthy cooking. I’m married, with three adult children and three grandchildren.

Wendy

Dental Receptionist

I bring over 14 years of dental experience to Clarington Orthodontics.  I love being a part of this dynamic team and welcoming patients to our office.  My duties include ensuring that the day-to-day operations at the front desk run smoothly.  As a mother of 3 grown children, outside office hours I enjoy reading, walking and dog sitting.

Karen

Dental Hygienist

I love being part of the team that turns crooked teeth into beautiful smiles. Working with our patients and seeing them mature from boys and girls into confident gentlemen and ladies is always rewarding and I enjoy playing a role in that process. I work under the direction of Dr. Rawji, bonding, fitting, and cementing bands, changing arch wires, and performing adjustments. I also remove braces on that wonderful day when the finished smile is revealed to the patient and the world. That is the best day of all!

I live in Hampton, with my husband, Don. I have a married son and two amazing grandsons with whom I love to spend time. I enjoy volunteering with 4-H Canada and other community organizations, going to the theatre, attending baseball and hockey games and scrapbooking.

Barb

Dental Hygienist

Talking with and getting to know our great patients and their families, while I help create healthy and beautiful smiles, make my days a joy. I spend my hours interacting with patients on a one-to-one basis, while I prepare their teeth for bonding and bond their braces, fit and cement bands, change wires and tie arch wires, and remove braces. I just love removing braces and seeing those healthy, straight teeth, and, even better, witnessing the joy on the patient’s face when they see their new smile!

Aside from my career, I enjoy being with my husband, three children, and one very busy grandchild. In my spare time I keep busy with various active hobbies, including skiing, swimming, cycling, scuba diving, and yoga. I also enjoy reading.

Sue

Level II Certified Dental Assistant

It’s always fascinating to watch a person’s orthodontic treatment progress from start to finish. Seeing the physical changes happen, along with the changes in their self-confidence and how they interact with the world, never ceases to amaze me. I enjoy the connections that develop between our patients and the team, during treatment, too, and look forward to our interactions. My work duties include taking X-rays and lab work, records, and providing chairside assistance, as well.

My husband and I have three wonderful adult children. In the winter we enjoy a trip to the sunny south and summer weekends are spent at our trailer in the Kawarthas.

Vanessa

Level II Certified Dental Assistant

I bring 7 years of assisting experience to the office.  I really enjoy working with our patients, spending time talking with them about their lives and interests, and hearing about their adventures. Each person always has such interesting, and often entertaining stories, to tell! My work day is split between time spent in our in-house lab and providing chairside assistance during patient procedures, ensuring that everything goes smoothly and that the patient is comfortable and relaxed throughout their time in the chair.

Jenny

Level II Certified Dental Assistant

I bring to the office over 22 years of experience. I love the enthusiasm that each member brings to the team.  My duties include chairside assisting, oral hygiene instructions, taking radiographs and keeping the office and patient flow running smoothly.  However, the best part of the day is getting to know our patients, earning their confidence and trust, learning about their schooling and extracurricular activites and what makes them smile and laugh.

I have been married for 20 years and have 3 beautiful daughters.  As a family, we spend our time on the soccer pitch watching our kids play.  We volunteer when we can with our local soccer club.  We also enjoy being outdoors and spend many hours a week in the woods walking our family dog.
